TIKI TASK FORCE

Helping our local Community one Chainsaw Carved Tiki at a Time!

CHAINSAW CARVING TIKIS FOR GOOD!

Hi Folks – Senan Gorman here from North Pole Design and now Tiki Task Force! At the start of the Pandemic, business began to slow down dramatically. I had a bit of extra time on my hands and had an idea that required me to pick up a kickass chainsaw. (My FIRST one!) My family & I then started Tiki Task Force.

The idea, as you can see by the graphic here is to use a chainsaw to carve Tiki Statues, sell them locally and then use the money to support our awesome Healthcare Workers, Nursing Homes Staff; as well as donating to our local Food Pantry’s, Homeless Shelters, fundraisers and more.

It’s been an incredibly humbling journey and my family & I couldn’t be more grateful for the positive responses and impacts you’re helping us make! We’ve had an opportunity to meet so many wonderful people through this experience, which has been extra special in Covid times!  Thank you so much!

HAPPY TIKI PEOPLE

WHAT'S THE PROCESS
FOR CARVING A TIKI?

LOG COLLECTING

This is the first step in the process! You have to locate, cut and transport each log and haul them to where you'll be carving. Our Teen Volunteers are instrumental in this part of the job.

DEBARKING LOGS

This is the least fun part of the process. Depending on the type of tree, debarking can present a real challenge to prepare for chainsaw carving! Again, our Teen Volunteers are ROCK STARS!

CHAINSAW CARVING

This is the fun part! After numerous attempts at carving a Tiki, I finally was able to successfully create an end-product that we can be proud of and sell to help support our Community!

SELLING THE TIKIS

Primarily, this is done through Facebook and word of mouth. It's so exciting when we get a Tiki order and the customer anxiously awaits word that their's is ready!

TIKI PICKUPS

One of the best components of the whole process is the pickup! We get to meet incredibly lovely people who are ecstatic with their new Tiki!! We've made so many new friends!

The HARD WORK PAYS OFF

At this point in the process, we're ready to choose where we deliver lunches to; or donate money to a charitable cause! The recipients are always SO appreciative of the Big Picture!

SKI TIKIS

Please stay tuned to this section! We are working on a plan to apply the Tiki Task Force concept of carving for good, to the Ski Industry and contribute to charitable orgs who focus on getting kids to the mountains! Let us know if you’d like to be involved!

PS – our Head Carver, Senan Gorman is also available to come to YOUR Mountain and carve on-site! Got stumps? Turn them into something cool and use them as fun spots to visit around the mountain! email: senan@northpoledesign.com
