While designing a new Map Asset for our clients can be a complex process, we tackle every project with over 20 years of experience behind us and make it as easy for you as possible!
North Pole Design has been creating maps for all types of clients for about 20 years! We’ve worked with clients of all sizes and budgets and are proud of the positive track record we’ve earned.
When you’re at a point of considering that your property or facility could use a new map asset, the question, “What do you need from us to get started?” always comes up. This page is designed to help answer this question and more!
The Bottom Line and most importantly, this process is NOT time-consuming for you! Your day is busy enough and our Map Design Process in no way adds to your pile of “stuff”! We’re kinda proud of that claim!
Every map North Pole Design creates is carefully crafted with intelligently named layers to ensure future edits are incredibly easy! Your initial map investment can be leveraged for years to come in many different mediums.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Depending on the project, here’s a list of typical materials we would need to get started:
- Any existing maps
- Building Schematics
- A Google Map screenshot of the perimeter of your map.
- Any relevant ground level photos for references
When designing Outdoor-to-Indoor Mapping for your Healthcare Facility, a few things to consider:
Do you want to map your entire campus? This way patients & visitors can navigate from one building to another and easily locate their appointments.
Kiosks – there are myriad choices of hardware that will help your end user find their way around. NPD will consult and recommend the right kiosk and capabilities for your particular needs.
This is certainly a bit of a wildcard as each project is different. Once we have an idea of what kind of map you’re looking for, how detailed it needs to be, etc. then we can provide a quote and move on from there.
It depends on the size & scope of the proposed project. A Resort Overview Map would typically take between 3-4 weeks, for example.
